Dear Beloved

After yesterday's Patience angel card, today we have 'Deceit'. As surprising as this card may be after yesterday's card, it is often a sign that by being patient, taking your time to determine the truth about situations, a person can uncover Deceit.

This card comes as a warning that there may be some deception going on in your life. The person hiding behind the curtain is likely someone you know or deal with either personally or professionally.

This card in an upright position indicates someone in your life is going to betray or deceive you, which will have an upsetting impact on you. Whoever, you have a bad feeling of, just walk away. They may be using sly and manipulative words to try and get you on their side, but please be weary.

The person on the card shows money being lost. There may be some gamble you might have wanted to take with someone but now is not the time to take the risk. Don’t be too eager to join in any agreement that involves money as this card warns to be cautious in financial matters. The person who wishes to deceive you, may be wearing a mask and once the mask is off, you get to see their true colour but after some detriment to yourself.

The duplicity could also be regarding a personal issue – like someone spreading rumours or disrespecting you to others. Or it could be a business matter where details are being hidden or even manipulated. Be aware of what is going on in your life.

Once again, note that the man behind the curtain is holding a bag of something valuable, so watch your money – and your good name – and make sure you have all the information you need to keep things honest and secure.

A deeper layer of meaning may be that the deception is actually coming from within. Is there something that you’re lying to yourself about? In this case, the bag of valuables may be holding things like self-esteem, happiness, and even leisure time.

Whether it’s about your life or yourself, remember that the Universe has a hard time sending you honouring experiences if your energy is shrouded in self-deceit.
